1. What Aegis Does Not Collect

• Field Notes content is not collected by us. Notes you create in Aegis are stored locally on your device only and are not transmitted to our servers.

• We do not sell your information.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Aegis stores certain app data on-device to make features work and to keep your information available offline:

• Field Notes (including any text you enter, subjects, tags, etc.) — stored locally on your device.

• Profile / preferences (e.g., badge/unit name, department fields) — stored locally on your device.

• Downloaded offline content (e.g., saved O.C.G.A. and case law data you choose to download for offline access) — stored locally on your device.

3. Information Retrieved From Our Services (Content Data)

Aegis may retrieve legal and operational content from our backend services to display inside the app, such as:

• O.C.G.A. codes

• Case law

• Legal alerts / updates

When you use these features online, your device will connect to our services (e.g., Supabase) to fetch content. These services may receive standard network information (like IP address) as part of normal internet communications.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

If you purchase a subscription:

• Payments are processed by Apple App Store / Google Play (and associated payment processors). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

• Subscription status may be managed through RevenueCat, which helps verify entitlements (whether a subscription is active). RevenueCat may process identifiers necessary to provide subscription functionality.

5. Analytics / Tracking

Aegis does not intentionally collect Field Notes content for analytics or tracking.

• We do not use cookies in the mobile app. (If you use a web version, your browser/storage may store limited data needed for functionality.)

6. Data Sharing

We don’t sell your personal data. We may share limited data only as needed to operate the app:

• Service providers (e.g., hosting/content delivery, subscription verification like RevenueCat) solely to provide the app’s functionality.

• Legal requirements if we are required to comply with law or valid legal process.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect app and service communications. However, no system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

8. Your Choices & Controls

Field Notes: You can delete notes within the app; because notes are stored locally, deletion removes them from the device storage.

• Offline downloads: You can clear downloaded offline content from within the app.

• Subscriptions: Manage or cancel via your App Store / Play Store account settings.

9. Children’s Privacy

Aegis is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
